“What does success look like for you?”
This is one of the first questions Cory asks of every client in every matter to keep the client’s goal(s) in clear focus. And if a client is unsure of what success looks like, Cory helps them sort through their options.
As the case progresses, clients can expect Cory to receive frequent updates and opportunities for input–all to ensure progress towards the client’s definition of success.
Cory’s laser focus on client success led him in 2022 to launch Winter Law Firm LLC after 13 years at a national full-service law firm.
Success for Cory is helping businesses and individuals solve complex legal disputes. To do so, Cory draws on his experience in all facets of litigation, including alternative dispute resolution, mediation, and appeals. In court, Cory has regularly represented individuals, small businesses, large businesses, and colleges and universities, and government entities from the filing of a complaint to final judgment.
Cory keeps clients at the center of decisions, and his client’s goals and preferences are omnipresent. At the outset of working with a client, and because no two clients or cases are ever the same, Cory works with clients to form a tailored legal strategy. Cory then invites clients to be actively involved in their cases by providing clients with information and resources so that clients can make informed, considered decisions throughout the case.
Cory’s dedication to his clients and creative problem solving has resulted in statewide accolades. Since 2016, Cory has been perennially named a Super Lawyers Rising Star, an honor given to no more than 2.5% of lawyers under the age of 40.
When not working on client matters, Cory is regularly called upon to present to lawyers and nonlawyers on a variety of legal topics like disability issues, legal ethics, Title IX, contract law, and more.
Cory has served on numerous boards throughout Pennsylvania including the Harrisburg Symphony Association (board secretary), The Walden School (board secretary), and Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region.
Cory is a proud graduate of James Madison University, magna cum laude, and Widener University School of Law, magna cum laude.
